Default Re: Myers-Briggs type for a successful poker player?

[ QUOTE ]
The Myers-Briggs is a quick and dirty test that does not measure much of anything. It was created in Isabel Myers' head and normed on no one. It's junk gutter social science.

[/ QUOTE ]

The above bears repeating.

The MBTI is not considered a valid psychological instrument by mainstream psychologists. Too many problems with the instrument from a theoretical (Jungian/Freudian perspective) and psychometric standpoint (measure is too crude to be meaningful).

It is likely to be productive to consider your behavioral and cognitive reactions to poker situations. The goal being that you can better understand how your reactions influence your current and future decisions during a session. However, it is probably not productive to use the MBTI for this purpose.
