I have agree that you have to break it down by genre.
My nominations:
Adventure: Full Throtle (PC)
FPS: Halo 2 (XBox)
RPG: FF 7 (PS2)
Action: Grand Theft Auto III
Sports: World Series 95. (First year they had a total player draft.)
