She needs to make some friends.
Maybe you can help her. Hook her up with a community center. They offer lots of classes and maybe she can meet people. Check out the local college and see if she can take or teach a community education course. Show her the online resources for meeting people in your area. See if there is a bookclub in your area.
Once she makes some friends she won't be nearly as bored and she'll be introduced to all sorts of new activities that will keep her busy and happy. (But it's hard helping someone else make friends.)
