Yes, I realize he doesn't need to be a favorite. If you want to get technical, you don't need to be a favorite to call any bet because the worst pot odds you can have is 50:50. My point was that he has 10s on an 8 high/paired flop with straight/flush possibilities. He's about a 2:1 favorite against open ended straight draw or flush draw, 3:1 favorite vs over cards, 3:2 favorite vs. open ended straight flush, 10:1 favorite vs. 9s/7s, 9:1 dog vs. JJ/QQ/KK/AA and 4.5:1 dog if this guy hit 6s full. If his opponent is on any type of draw, he's created the pot odds for hitting it. If I had to guess, I'd put the other guy on a mid pocket pair/draw. In either situation hero is a favorite, but we're talking about a considerable amount of money for just 10s.
