Default Re: Awfull Hands From Tonight

[ QUOTE ]
After sleeping on it, and reading this over, im sorry i posted these bad beats. But last night when i was making this post, I just went through my hand history, and looked for large downward fluctuations in my stack. And these are what i came up with. Does that mean im getting better and i was just struck with a streak of bad luck? If so.... i owe it all to you guys here at 2+2

On a a side note. This question may seem stupid or trivial, but ive allways wanted a solid answer. Do winning players have days when they just can't come up? Like the winners that know this game like the back of thier hand, and have trained themselves not to tilt. On a full session of making all the right moves and reads, what are the odds that a player like this ends up losing big?

Yes, bad streaks are inevitable. I lost about 5 buy-ins at the 50xbb structure somewhat recently, something that has never happened before. Probably 3 were due to bad beats and 2 were due to bad play / tilting. Smart players identify when they start to be affected by not winning money, and stop playing.

As to the point of percentages of winning / losing, this entirely depends on your winrate and standard deviation. My variance is more than four times my winrate, which means that I am often up or down fairly big. What really matters is a positive drift over the long term.
