Man, that sounds cheap. Is she an immigrant looking for work? I tried some of those maid services to clean my apartment, and they are about $60/hour.

She was making about $25/hour, and it was all under the table, so it was tax-free.
We'd priced out some maid services, and they were all about $90 per visit. For $90, two people would clean the home and the list of things they'd clean was much longer than the list of things we asked our maid to clean.
