The NLHE section is the same in both volumes.

Most of the stuff in volume 1 is obsolete. The section on stud by Reese is good. The section on limit holdem by Baldwin may be worth reading, but it is geared towards a version that doesn't exist. The section on Stud high/low no qualifier doesn't apply well to Stud/8, but it is useful if you are playing in the "big game" or something where they play that. The general material on holdem by Brunson is excellent but elementary.

In summary vol. 2 is fairly obsolete, but probably worth owning for any pro who plays limit poker.
