Default Re: A Thin value bet on the river?

I'm going to guess that he isn't happy with you right now .

If you bet you must call the checkraise. Cornered animals are dangerous and you have provoked him pretty badly. He could easily lash out with a bluff.

His anger and your unending aggression also create motive and opportunity for a value checkraise. Furthermore there is a fair chance that your turn call has convinced him that his small spade is no more than checkcall material. Or he could be checkcalling because he thinks he just lost his two pair to aces up.

Throw in four parts to Broadway and all the 2-pair hands that beat you and I can't find a bet.

Another advantage of checking is he has to show. You really need to know where his head is right now.
