Here are some strategic considerations when playing in a Kill game.. My local card room is 5/10 but if someone wins a $100 or larger pot they get the Kill and have to post $10, then the next hand is $10/20. Since $100 pot is the trigger (not winning 2 hands in a row) its common for the Kill to be on several hands in a row.
Anyway when the Kill is off you must play tighter since your implied odds are lower (you win the pot and you have to give back some $$). Your drawing odds have to be higher to chase too. When the Kill is on (more dead $$ in the pot pre-flop) you must play more aggressive, open raise more, fight for the bigger blinds, and play tighter in the blinds (which are still at the smaller limit).
I love kill games. Often the prev hand Killer fish will call a raise with crap since "they already have $$ in the pot".
