Default Re: Some random bubble/ITM thoughts/math

Hi,

I would just like to offer a few comments on the ICM maths.

The value of your chips in the scenario you describe goes from $287 to $312 to $350, increasing by $25 and $38 as the players are eliminated. You comment that you gain 1.5 times as much equity when the third player is eliminated compared to the fourth.

However this is mainly due to the fact that more chips (2000 compared with 500) changed hands on the second elimination. Had the players been eliminated in the other order your value would have increased from $287 to $335 to $350. The increments would have been $48 and $15. This time the gain is more than 3 times greater when the fourth player is eliminated, compared to when the third goes.

I dont know if this makes any difference to what you are saying...

Psparky.
