True, though I think it's important to realize that checking to induce a bluff really only makes sense if villain will also generally fold to a turn bet when behind anyway, and so checking is the only way to get money in from them. (Also, we need to be pretty confident villain doesn't have a lot of outs against us in which case we probably should bet anyway so we don't give up to much on the turn free card).
