Default Re: Intelligent Design - New England Journal of Medicine article

I'm curious why religious people would trust the teachings of faith or related to faith with teachers, schools and the government. From their perspective this just seems like recipe for disaster because once you bring the government in, much like the mafia, it's hard to get it out and things tend to quickly go bad.

I'm not at all against religion but I would think this is what church is for. Having gone to church as a kid and taught in a school that did not teach intelligent design the differences were not all that hard to understand and conflicts not at all troublesome. I knew even at a young age each institution had its place.

To me this just once again shows our society's desire to turn over all responsibility and duty over to some all encompassing Government. This time is just happens to be the so called "religious right". How sad.
