Since a check-raise has so much going for it if UTG+2 has a made hand, I'd say he's a lot more likely to have a draw on this flop given that he bet out. No guarantee he'll bet those draws again on the turn, so I like a flop raise much better.
Surfdoc mentioned that your equity will change drastically on the turn, but if you recall the example in Ed Miller's SSH of the TT vs. AA on a draw-heavy board and waiting until the turn to raise, he concluded raising the flop is better with AA and raising the turn is better with TT because of the extra equity AA has on the flop.
