Default Re: USA Today Article/Party Poker/Banned Software

I've never cheated in a casino but from watching shows like "The Take Down" etc... It doesn't appear that the casino has to have a reason to walk you to the door weather you have or not.

Example - Counting cards is not illegal but they will call the goon squad on you just as fast as if you've committed a felony, show you the door, and make sure that every other casino in the US has your picture and data.

All the more reason for a software maker to have a relationship with an "International Poker Council" or some such self monitoring non-governmental group that has some Teeth, or at the very least a few of the big online poker houses who seem to be leading.

I think where the flaw in most of our thinking is, is that these poker places online are not casino's when in fact they really are casino's, just operating in a new frontier but most likely under the same guidelines and we are pushing our luck.

Just my thoughts
