Default Re: didnt notice an 80 BB downswing

I can see I have a lot of learning to do. As a new player of 6 months, I read 2+2 every day, and realize even solid players can have bad swings...

I just moved up to 1/2, and was running at 3.8BB/100 for the 1st 8000 hands. Cool I thought! Aren't I good! Then, I had one evening (monday) were I lost 80BB in under 800 hands.. Holy sh*t! Nothing held up, I got sucked out on the river, boats lost to quads, st8s to flushes, etc. It was like a 3 hour trainwreck... I'm sure I was tilted the last hour, and should have stopped much sooner than I did, I probably spewed 20BBs with bad play.

I realize this will happen to everybody, but it's the first time it's happened to me.. I don't know how you guys who play bigger stakes can deal w/200BB downswings... I'd be puking or at least doubting myself...

Good thread,
thx,
Francis
