To get out of the house and have some fun. Hang out and chat with some friends. It's either the poker room or the local bar for them.
My first trip to a Florida poker room at a greyhound track had me scratching my head (and building a massive pyramid of those grubby white chips), but it's a fun break from online poker. Imagine a table with 8 middle age or older people that show up with the idea that they will lose $X and go home - they have no intention of winning, 1 kid with sunglasses shuffling his chips, and you. It's downright hilarious.
