This is very situation dependant. One of the reasons dealer abuse rises to throwing objects at the dealers in some areas is the dealer won't call the floor whne a player gets out of line because it costs money if it loses a hand. When a dealer chooses to ignore an abusive player to keep the game going it fosters an abusive environment and is unfair to the dealers that follow as most abusive players will continue to be more abusive until someone tells them to stop. If swearing at the dealer gets no reaction they will move on to throwing cards, if this gets no reaction they will move up to throwing racks, if this gets no reaction they will throw their drink and so on.

I've never seen people throw their chip racks at a dealer. This really happens? What does the dealer usually do to deserve this?
