Default Re: \"Official\" ESPN Coverage of WSOP Main Event: Final Table

Hand 7 - Joseph Hachem has the button in seat 1, Kondracki raises to $450,000, and Dannenmann moves all in. Kondracki is short stacked, but thinks long and hard about this decision. The crowd starts getting restless, and with a shrug, he calls the all-in bet. Kondracki shows pocket tens (10s-10c), while Dannenmann has Ad-Qc. It's a race situation as the flop comes Qs-Js-4s, giving Dannenmann a pair of queens, while Kondracki has a spade flush draw, or he can catch a ten or a runner-runner straight to stay alive.

The turn card is the 2h, and Kondracki now needs to catch a ten or a spade (11 outs) to stay alive. The river card is the 7s, and the crowd cheers as Kondracki makes a flush to stay alive. Kondracki, who had been standing up, has an "Aw, shucks," expression on his face as he calmly sits down with a smile on his face. Meanwhile, his friends in the crowd are cheering like he just won the entire tournament. But as long as he's still alive, he still has that chance.

Brad Kondracki doubles up through Steve Dannenmann, and he now has about $2.6 million in chips.
