You can't seriously knock the music from GBU. There are so many awesome melodies/themes/etc in that movie. The main theme is great.

Blondie is good because he creates a moral code for himself in a lawless and amoral land.

I ended up going with GBU too. First, because the character development and acting are both spectacular. I mean, Unforgiven is great in both departments, but GBU is even better. This is partially just because it's longer, but it's still got the edge by a nose.

GBU also has an awesome plot, real sense of motion and development in that as well. Again, edges out Unforgive by a hair.

The visuals in GBU are better, more focus was placed on these, and it shows.

Basically, it's GBU by a nose in terms of acting, plot, cinematography, etc. Unforgiven is more of a stark, stunning movie, and its moral core is easier to crack open, but GBU has as much in subject matter there IMO and is just a bit more subtle. It draws different distinctions.

It's hard to pick but I had to say GBU in the end.

EDIT: What also makes it close is that Unforgiven has the best ending of any movie, ever.
