I assume the OP is talking about laying down to the river bet of 50. If I had come this far in the hand, I wouldn't lay down my top pair to a bet of 50 into a pot of more than 300. If nothing else, it helps me see how my opponent played whatever hand he was calling with til the river.

I think if the OP is willing to bet 50 BOTH on the flop and the turn - I don't see how whe folds the river...even though he is pretty much facing a severe beatage or a push.

As for the rest of the hand, this defnitely is NOT the way to play a bad ace oop.

if you bet the flop, you should check the turn and possibly fold there depending on the bet back at you.
