I've been doing this with the same $3k about every week for the past few months.
Just cash it all out...and then redeposit it all $500 at a time.
Then wait 8 more days to get the points..and repeat.
Yes, the 'stunt' works. You get 6k points every 8 days (unless you fax them your info to increase your deposit limits...in which case you can get more points for more $500 deposits).
It's kind of obvious and lots of people have been doing it.
