Checking the flop in most cases is okay. If you look like a LAG luckbox, then I think you get more from the rocks by betting $6 or so here. As played, lead the turn. Sure you might get villain to bluff a small amount by checking, but you have to risk winning a small pot to build a large one.

Also, if you always slow play your monsters you will never get paid with them.

I always get a kick when I see this type of hand generate a $10 pot (which only gets to $10 on the river because of a 'value' bet) and hero has 99 and villain has 69 [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
