The only reason to raise less here would be to get him to play back at you with hands that wouldn't call your allin, like K8 or J9 and then you CALL. In fact, I like raising to 600 here and calling any push and pushing any flop better than pushing, if the phrase hasn't been coined yet, a "go and go"

Edit: thought the blinds were only 100/200, theres only one way to play this hand, push preflop.
