Default Re: I raise so I can fold?

[ QUOTE ]
This hand has me thinking a bit but may be standard to most.

3/6 villian is moderately tight and moderately aggressive, I say his 3 bet vs possible steal here is ranging from any pair, any decent ace and any 2 paint.

Hero is in hijack with KcQh

folded to hero, hero raises, 2folds, SB 3bets, BBfolds.

Flop Q,4,6 rainbow

Villian bets, hero raises, villian 3 bets, hero??

This is a situation I find myself in with getting 3 bet and hitting only to face lots of action. How often would you cap this preflop as hand isn't really a steal hand and maybe the cap makes this decision easier. Give me a line in these situations.

Thanks.

I still don't get why you guys raise this flop, or why on other hands you c/r out of position with TT on a 853 board after you have been 3 bet preflop.

What does raising do?

It gives someone a chance to fold a hand you crush, or, gives someone a chance to spank 3 bet you.

At 3/6, this guy is going to bet the flop, turn, and river, regardless of whether or not he is ahead of your Q. I'd just assume let him bet his TT on every street and not fold.
