In response to your anecdotal evidence of our health care system, the guy in Quebec sued because in Canada you weren't allowed to buy your way up a waiting list. That may be changing due to the Supreme Court's decision in that case.


After doing a bit of research, you are right about recreation versus pro, however that law has yet to be enforced in Canada and lucky for me, I have a full time job.

I said 'try to move to Canada' because obviously you can't just go play in another country and not pay taxes however, there are ways to become a Canadian citizen and for people who spend most of the day inside anyways worrying about EV I would have thought more people would be exploring the option of working part-time and playing poker in Canada.
