Let's see - the Pacific war began for the US after Pearl Harbor (since they weren't involved in the Chinese campaigns), which occured in 1941.
Most of the world was fighting the Nazis starting in 1939.
Maybe the European thing could have been wrapped up before Pearl Harbor with more help.
But let's not fight over that.
