Default Re: Gold Spike Casino

The people that say that the Gold Spike is a good deal for the money also claim that Palace Station is a great bargain for the money and that the buffet is well above average.

Palace Station is a smelly dump and it's at least twice as much as the Gold Spike, so what does that tell you?

And the buffet at Palace Station is inedible garbage I wouldn't feed to my dogs.

I've been in the Gold Spike casino. Locals refer to it as the 'Copper Mine' because of the large area devoted to PENNY slot machines. Some friends of mine and I went there to check out the seemier side of vegas (we had suites at Caesar's and were very expensively dressed.)

What a dump. The place is full of degenerate gambling addicts who can't afford to gamble higher than a penny. Some of them look like they are perpetually torn between spending their last few cents to gamble or on a 50 cent well drink.

What a joke. We actually played penny slot machines with the rubes. We stood out like Steve Badger at a debutant ball. (Except in reverse.)

My friends and I were jerks. Everytime we won anything we would loudly exclaim "Cool! I just won 5 cents! Woohoo I am the penny slot MASTAH!'

One woman wasn't bright enough to see that we were being patronizing. She looked over at me and said 'I won eight fifty on this machine earlier today.'

WOW! Eight fifty? Time to load up the truck and move to Beverlee!

Hills that is....

Anyway, if you want a REAL bargain and don't mind finding dirty needles under the bed, head over to the Western! I think it's only 17 bucks a night, 365 days a year!

My punishment for being such an elitist jerk was that my Armani jacket was nearly ruined because of all the smoke, and because of a small splotch of pinkish green goo that I later discovered on the back.
