Default Re: Atlantic City Poker Rooms

The 5/10 game is usually good since the majority of the players don't try to scoop pots (only HOPE to do so) and are passive -- many check/call their nut low draws, won't raise their made nut lows when they have something toward high (top pair w/ top kicker, for example) and only rarely raise their high hands before the river. Also, you will see some pretty odd starting hands being shown down on a regular basis. If there's an action junkie hold 'em player at the table who's bored from waiting for his regular game to start, the game becomes better, since he'll create bigger pots, though the variance does become a little crazy at times.

At this point, I'm planning to visit AC on Sunday. Also, I'm also thinking of playing in the 10/20 mixed game (1/2 O8B, 1/2 Stud 8B). I've heard of $1,000+ pots occurring in that game. If you happen to be there, or if my plans change, look for a guy with dirty blond hair using 2006 WSOP souvenir chips as card protectors.
