Default Re: High Limit Poker Rooms in Vegas

The room being referred to at the Palms is not what the poster is asking in my opinion. The Palms "high limit poker room" is across the passageway to the restrooms. This room was originally a keno room. Prior to the big boom in poker. The Palms needed more poker room so they closed this keno room and made it the "high side". Generally speaking it's just 2-5nl and 5-10 nl. Thats not high limit.

There is really only 1 real "side room" in LV. It's called "Bobbys Room" at the Bellagio. This room was built this year as part of Bellagios' poker room expansion. It is within the walls of the poker room, two tables, no less than $100,000 buy-in for this room. Usually 1 table going, 4-6 days a week, playing $2k-$4k limit mixed games.

the mix generally is: HE, Stud/8, Omaha/8, 2-7 triple draw, 7 card stud. Depending on the players they throw in NLHE, Pot limit Omaha occasionally, and even NL A-5 or 2-7 triple draw lowball.

The players: Jennifer Harmon, Doyle, Chip reese, Johnny Chan, Phil Ivey, Chau Ghiang, Eli, and David(french guy dont know there last names) and Larry Flint was in there last week.

Generally speaking this room goes unless the players are out at some sort of major event elsewhere.

The room is available anytime the players are there to play. It isnt just a sectioned off area. It's a room within the room, glass doors and walls.

If you looking for that secret hidden room you see in movies on tv, fergit about it. This is the day of surveilance and marketing.
