Well, I personally would probably bet 1/2 pot here with an overpair, AT, JT, J9, etc, so yeah this is fine. And I like the idea about protection for missed overs later. I find that if you can make your second barrel cheap, when you do fire it out with missed AK you can generally get a fold from mid PP.
