Because on average in this position your likely to have an equity edge and if any of the gimpers call when its 2 cold back then great.
Also because it'll make the blinds call with a wide range some which will be incorrect.
Plus AQs in a likely multiway pot is a strong holding.
Also being the aggressor with position improves your chances of winnig the hand because it may get checked to you giving you the opportunity to take a free card. Also there's a chance you'll get a free card.
Plus it gains infornation because if it gets capped then you'll know your up against it.
Anyways i don't think its a big deal what you do preflop just a thought really.
