Default Re: another \"what would you do\"?

Tight guy with 30 BB calls for half his stack to a 10xBB re-raise. Seems like the best hope we could have is to isolate BB by going all-in and shutting down SB's steal (if that's what it is) and taking the 55-45 odds against BB's AK.

Since BB's range extends beyond AK to AA & KK, and since SB's hand is not necessarily worse than ours, that's a -EV move.

If SB has a lower pocket pair and is pot committed, and BB has AKo, then we're a 46% dog to triple up and should call. Against three overcards (ie AK & AQ) we're 46% If SB has something like A9s, we're 55%, but he won't call with that, even getting 5-1.

But KK/AA is as likely as AK for BB, probably more likely, against which we're 20% even if SB calls with a pp worse than ours.

So let's assume a SB call with a hand worse than ours and both blinds go all-in. I see our equity as .5 * .45 + .5*.2 = .325, and this is optimistic.

So I fold.
