250 to 300 on the river is the perfect price because he's most likely to have a draw or top pair looking to showdown. the 250 bet allows him to call top pair, but also could look like a blocking bet and induce a reraise with a busted draw. Also in the rare occasion that you are beat and being slowplayed, 250 keeps his reraise reasonable so that you're getting odds to call the raise since he is bluffing a good percent of the time.

this is my first post as you can tell, ive been readin here for a while, but ive decided to post because i think it will help my game... was this why you bet 250? is this thought process elementary or correct for that matter?
