Yeah I read that article which was on the front page and I agree. The arguments for tort reform are appealing but everytime I look at the data that data doesn't seem to support the arguments. However, I'm not an expert on insurance and I'm not really sure about quantifying the risk involved and what these huge judgements (even though most are negotiated to a lower settlement offer) mean in setting rates for malpractice insurance.
