Default Re: Gilpin CO poker room?

I was in Denver for the weekend and ended up playing at the Gilpin Friday. The room was pretty nice and the staff was friendly. They had $2/$4 limit, and straight $5 with $1/$2 blinds. They also had SNGs for $40+$5 and also $25+? buyins. The SNGs had a pretty bad blind structure though, you start w/ 500 chips with blinds starting at 25/50 doubling every 15 minutes (the manager mentioned they are thinking of changing this structure though).

There were only 1-2 tables of limit and 2 SNGs running at any one time. However, I was playing during the day (11AM-4:30PM) so I would guess it's busier on the weekends and at night. Seems like a good number of people were waiting for the SNGs and playing limit in between. Level of play on the limit tables varied, some of the SNG players were pretty loose, while there were also some locals that were a bit tighter.

They were shooting a commercial with David Chiu, and were also shooting some of the action at the tables, so that was interesting.

Overall the room was pretty nice, and I would play there again if I'm in the area since I'm more familiar with structured rather than spread limit (Although I wouldn't play the SNGs unless they changed the structure).
