i try to praise the positive if i can remember to. next time you see her with hair in a way you like, compliment her on it. if you don't like the hair in a weird bun and really feel a need to point it out, just smile at her, reach over, pull the pin out of her bun, run your fingers through her hair and give her a good kiss. who knows, you might even get lucky.
