Also, when you see it in movies/TV it's because they don't have a product placement deal -- so when the beer arrives, the label is disfigured so you can't read a brand name.

Off on a total tangent -- the movie "Cast Away" would have been ridiculous if instead of saying FedEx they said "generic express postage carrier." Because of their reliance on a brand name, a lot of audience mebers got it in their heads that the film was just one big commercial for FedEx. Ironically, the filmmakers got NOTHING from FedEx, not a penny. There was no product placement, no advertising. Zemeckis just wanted it to be realistic, rather than making up some fake, goofy-sounding bogus postage service.

I don't know why I brought that up; I was thinking of "Cast Away" earlier today I guess.
