There are a few reasons why I could see calling here.

He limped in behind a limper -- you'll see AA or KK less often here.

It's early in the tourney. If you are against overcards, a coinflip here wouldn't be *that* bad of a situation, since you haven't invested that much time. Normally you don't want to be taking flips this early, but given the likelihood that you'll be shown a hand like TT on down, this might be a good spot to take a stand.

The stack sizes are fairly equal. You don't really have a stack to protect, or any shorties to wait out.

This is one of the rare situations where I might take a chance with JJ against an all-in reraise.
