1) Personally I have no motivation to learn tournaments because they're just really boring to me. I know some people who are very good cash players that are in the process of learning them now so I guess that's a personal thing. If you think it would be fun then why not go for it.
2) I've never played that high but I have watched some of the bigger games a bit when I was bored. The 40/80 on Paradise looks really good a lot so that might be a good place to start.
3) No idea.
