My advice more abstract, but I look at it like this. Small stakes players are generally pretty straightforward. If you show preflop strength and they play back at you they probably are strong, esp. on a scary board. I usually tell myself, "you just have a pair, do you really want to stack off with it?". Its situation dependent and in some cases, the answer is yes. Most of the time it is no. Remember why we play hands like small pocket pairs and suited connectors? To stack the the guy that cant get away from their TPTK and big pair hands.
