I don't necessarily think I'll have an edge over my starting table. In the event that I don't, I'm fairly confident that my EV disadvantage will be increased by taking a rebuy.
In general, I think I have an edge against the field, otherwise I wouldn't play the tournament. But having an edge against the field isn't the same as necessarily having an edge against my starting table. If my starting table has 3-4 competent deep-stack nl players and nobody spewing chips, then my edge is either small or nonexistent, and the chips I get from the rebuy may well be worth less than the cost of the rebuy itself.
