Default Re: are women good at anything?

Women should be able to compete in pool. Right now they can't, but some women are trying. Karen Corr plays some Joss NE tour events and beats some men. She can't beat top men consistently, if at all. Sure in a phony race to 7 alternate break format she can win sometimes. Jeannette Lee stepped up and played at Derby City this year. She lasted a while in some events, and I think she played both one pocket and banks which should help her game. Women eventually should get closer to the men, but right now we will have to put up with ESPN coverage where Ewa goes nuts over a 4 ball roadmap run out. These women are so great she gushes, as they turn the cueball loose and get out of line on the second shot on an easy layout.

Rumor has it that top men players have gotten backers to try to lure Allison Fisher to play for fair sums with allison getting the six out and the breaks. Allegedly allison won't take the bet. Certainly Efren, Parica, Archer, et. al. figure to beat her giving up that spot. Tells you what they think of her game if true.

Back in the day Masako Katsura played excellent billiards.

I don't see any real physical reason women can't compete in pool.
