in most situations this preflop raise is bad... in a loose passive table you'll be getting a few less than everyone with this play... KQ suited plays well in multi-way pots, but when it doesn't hit with decent but not huge crowds around, you're throwing money away...
i think it could and would be argued that raising with the best (or potentially the best) hand preflop is good, especially when you know people will stick around, but i would argue on a loose passive table that from EARLY position you should save your raise (in late mid or late position this raise is fine) and see this flop cheaply
in this same scenario there's less in the pot if you checked preflop and a c/r on the flop or turn will have more power
but given the action and the reluctance of people to go away, your busted flush draw you picked up means you should be betting as a bluff to win this pot on the river... or folding, not calling
