You also have 5 outs to a five-card hand would not be the nuts. You have some chance of winning without improvement. Although you may headed for a split if you make a straight on the turn, hands like ace-high clubs or a set will probably see the river.
In the absence of a read, folding on the flop doesn't sound like an especically good play.
