I "want" to like poker... maybe when the popularity goes away (in 2-3 years) I'll like it more again...
Hmmmmmmmmm. Well, I am neither a psychiatrist nor do I play one on TV, so I'll refrain from analyzing that one.
For me, the popularity of poker makes me like it more. People see my beat up NEPC hat and ask, "did you really play in that?" I say yes, and they go on to talk about how the WPT is their favorite show, etc. I usually give them my number and say "If you're getting a game together, give me a call."
