Default The ultimate progress

So I've been playing 5-10 at Party for a few months now, and still re- (and re-) reading TOP, HEP, HLSFAP, HPFAP.

I was looking at PokerTracker numbers and was thoroughly disgusted to see that my rake paid was almost equal to the amount I've won.

So I took my $4,500 bankroll and decided to get into a 15-30 game for $600. I also promised myself that if at any point, I lost 25 BB from my high point, I would rejoin my usual 5-10 games until I built enough of a roll and I felt like a favourite at the 10-20 game, and move on from there. I did the usual scouting and found a game better than any 5-10 game I had played in a while, and sat down.

I documented this first session in an Internet Forum thread entitled "Why didn't anyone tell me?".

Well, I'm obviously on a bit of a run, but in one week (and about 14 hours of poker) my bankroll has reached $9,600, and more importantly, I at times feel like the best player at the table, but never feel like a significant underdog.

THAT'S progress.
