Default Re: Harrah\'s New Orleans and the Raddison Hotel in N.O.

Harrah's is a great place to play, and they usually have 3-6 hold 'em and omaha, also, they like to spread a few half and half tables, and that can be very fun. If you have the choice, which I doubt you will, try to sit at one of the tables under the lower ceiling, it's much quieter. The higher stakes games here are also very good.

Additionally, the staff at Harrah's is very freindly, and the dealer's are usually quite good.

A few things worth mentioning though, last time I was there, the poker room was still a smoking area, exept for the seats on either side of the dealer. Don't know if that would affect your choice. Also, if you wind up playing late, and you have a hotel near the casino, consider asking a casino guard to walk you there, just a suggestion, NO can get rough late at night.

As a final note, if you are in New Orleans, and a man offers to bet you that he can guess where you got your shoes, just say "I got them on my feet" and keep walking. That's not a joke it will happen to you at least five times on your trip.
