Default Re: Harrah\'s New Orleans and the Raddison Hotel in N.O.

quality cuisine in new orleans is unfortunately limited to only about 1,000 or so different restaurants.

harrah's is the only casino actually IN new orleans. boomtown is about 15 mins or so. biloxi is about an hour.

harrah's is probably the place to play....3/6 and 6/12 as i recall. maybe higher on the weekends. i like the casino itself, pretty nice...but the poker-room is too noisy for some tastes. i like it but many have stated that they absolutely hate it.

you could probably do just as well to ask your new friends at the table as to dining suggestions. some will be tourists who will have no clue, others will be tourists who have been to NO before and will have good suggestions. and you'll probably meet a local or two who will able to spout off their 20 favorite restaurants off the top of their head.

i've had many-an-amazing meal in new orleans....most of the places had names i can never recall.

there's a nice, new and kind of bigger place on bourbon st that was justifiably getting good reviews. there are a few good restaurants on decatur street.....and the various french quarter side-streets...etc etc etc.
