Re: Any love for 5 Card Stud?
Occasionally I see an old Dover Books paperback from the 60's or 70's in the bookstore. The two games it talks the most about are five-card draw and five-stud (with additional material on some home wild-card style games), and the five-stud game referred to interestingly has the high card making the bring-in bet (or optionally folding). At any rate, i can't vouch for the quality of advice but at least it's cheap, and might be a start. Alas, I don't recall the title.
