You are half way there, though. I can understand how it seems crazy to you. Not unlike how calling the United States a police state because of the Patriot Act would be crazy. Its about "heading down that road." That was essentially my point. I suppose you would have to first be a Christian to grasp the sense of urgency many of them so obviously feel.

I am a Christian from Texas who votes 99.9% republician. I consider myself a conservative but I think people are so dam overly sensitive too everything, both sides. I don't have the feeling that our media or social climate needs to reflect every single one one of my personal values, but rather of our entire nation. I'm not saying they should take Bibles out of court room or anything but I don't think any person or state or whoever is attacking christianity. I mean wouldn't you say Christians hold the majority of elected offices in the country? or am I misinformed.
